Quinta Valle Passos

The Quinta Valle de Passos is located in the wine-growing region of Trás-os-Montes and consists of 80 hectares, of which 50 are vineyards, divided into three farms. About three hectares are considered old vines, approximately 50 years old. In the region, the soils are mostly granitic, although in the Valpaços sub-region we find a transition between these two types of soil, and the altitudes vary between 200-700 meters.
Our vineyards of white varieties are between 550 and 650 meters of altitude, and the red varieties between 250 and 300 meters of altitude. The climate is another of our allies in the production of quality wines, with the great thermal amplitudes either between day / night or between winter / summer. The low rainfall also works, usually in our favor, not creating favorable conditions for diseases. These excellent natural conditions, for the production of wine, allow us to work in an "Integrated Production" system. This is a high quality crop production mode that uses natural resources and natural regulatory mechanisms, replacing environmentally damaging production factors.
