Tapada do Chaves
On the slope of the Serra de São Mamede, a mountain of granite rises a hill, rustic, and spreads an old vineyard, more than 100 years old. Located in Frangoneiro, on the outskirts of Portalegre, in lands of Alto Alentejo, is the Tapada do Chaves, a property that gives origin to wines of recognized quality almost 100 years ago. The wine-producing properties of Alentejo are rare, accumulating more than a century of existence. The Tapada do Chaves is, therefore, a unique case in the Alentejo panorama. It is a particular place, singular by its heritage, by its orography.
