Tapada do Chaves
Tapada do Chaves is located near Portalegre in Alto Alentejo. The estate has produced some of the best Portuguese wines for nearly a century. Tapada do Chaves enjoys exceptional soils that are not normally seen in the rest of the Alentejo. It is found on the slopes of the Serra de São Mamede, a granite massif that gives qualities unique to the soil and, ultimately, to its wines.
