Ruby Style: Bottle Ageing
Ruby Reserve: A young, fruity and full-bodied wine resulting from the selection of different years, ideal for immediate consumption.
Late Bottled Vintage (LBV): Produced from grapes from a single year, it is full-bodied and ready for consumption after 4-6 years of ageing. Some versions continue to evolve in the bottle.
Crusted: Robust wine that ages for at least three years in the bottle, forming a deposit (crust), which gives it its name.
Vintage: Considered the highest category, it ages for decades in the bottle. Initially, it is intense and fruity, but over time it acquires complexity and aromas of ripe fruit, spices and cigar box.
Tawny style: Aged in wood
Tawny Reserve: Aged for a minimum of 6 years, it has a golden colour, balancing youth and maturity.
Tawny 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 years: The longer the ageing, the more concentrated the flavours of dried fruit, spices and honey. The 50-year-old Tawny is highly complex and elegant.
Very Very Old (VVO): extremely rare wines over 80 years old that express maximum complexity and balance.
White Port
Reserve White: Aged for at least 6 years in wood, it is an elegant and complex wine.
White with Indication of Age: Similar to the Tawny style, whites are aged for 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 years, gaining complexity over time.
Very Very Old White: White wines over 80 years old, balanced and of exceptional quality.
