Herdade do Freixo

Herdade do Freixo, located in the village of Freixo, in the municipality of Redondo, occupies 300 hectares protected by the Municipal Ecological Reserve. The property includes varied landscapes, such as cork oak forests, pastures and an ancient olive grove, as well as 35 hectares of vineyards planted at an altitude of 450 metres, which benefit from a unique microclimate for the ideal ripening of the grapes. This unique terroir is complemented by the local biodiversity, with rare species such as the black stork, and an archaeological heritage that includes megalithic monuments and Roman remains.
