Algarve

The Algarve's white wines, usually blends of grape varieties such as Arinto and Crato, are fresh and mineral. The reds, dominated by Negra Mole, Trincadeira and Castelão, range from light and fruity to more structured and complex wines, depending on the winemaking techniques. The Negra Mole grape variety, in particular, is a symbol of the Algarve's wine identity.
